At Arrowhead Mills, we know that delicious food doesn’t have to take you all day long! In fact, some of the best recipes are the simplest. We also believe that healthy meals can be easy too.
Here are some of our favorite recipes when we want a meal that doesn’t require much active cooking. These are perfect for lazy days, or if you want an easy dish to complement others.
From salads to baked cauliflower, we’ve got some great suggestions for you to try out!
Sometimes, salads can leave us feeling more hungry than we started, but our salads are designed to keep you satiated and feeling good.
Having a balance of proteins, fats, and healthy carbs keep these meals balanced and perfectly delicious.
One of our favorites is our Barley Butternut Squash Salad. This salad includes butternut squash, a superfood high in many vitamins including antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene. It’s high in fiber to aid in digestion and even weight loss.
The other main ingredient in this salad is our Organic Pearled Barley. This grain acts similarly to rice but is a little thicker. It’s a hearty ingredient that helps make this salad filling. Its high in a variety of vitamins and minerals and is also known to combat diabetes and other diseases.
Another of our favorite salads is our Gluten Free Lentil Salad. This salad has mushrooms and walnuts to create a great texture, but the real stars are the Organic Green Lentils and our Organic Flax Seed. Our lentils are nutrient-dense, with tons of fiber and protein. Flax seeds provide a great source of fiber, iron, and Omega-3 fatty acids.
A simple recipe, our lentil salad just requires cooking the lentils and roasting the vegetables. You’ll have a warm, delicious new salad to add to your diet!
Need a quick vegan meal? Try out our Sweet and Spicy Baked Cauliflower. This recipe uses tapioca flour to create the perfect coating for your baked cauliflower. Cauliflower is an excellent alternative to meat, and with the right coating, it will be perfect for vegans and meat lovers alike.
The recipe calls for dipping cauliflower in a coating and baking it for 20 minutes. After that, the cauliflower can be accompanied by the dipping sauce and a side of your choice. We recommend rice, our red lentils, or our organic quinoa.
With baked cauliflower as a base, you can modify this recipe to suit any sauce craving, too!
Simple and delicious meals are great when you have a busy schedule or just want to take a break from being in the kitchen.
One of our other favorite ways to mix up dinner is by serving breakfast! Kids will love the fun change, and we’ve got some great products. Check out our Apple Cider Pancakes & Waffle Mix to get you started.
With so many great options, we know you’ll find something delicious and filling to make your lazy nights a bit more relaxing.
