Garlic Herb Twisted Rolls

  • 1 stick butter at room temp
  • 4 sprigs parsley chopped
  • 1 whole garlic roasted
  • 1 teaspoon italian herbs
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan


  • In the bowl place Arrowhead Mills Organic Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour, xanthan gum, yeast, sugar, and whisk together. Add the salt, and whisk again to combine well.
  • Add the water and olive oil, and mix on medium speed in stand mixer or pulse in food processor until the dough begins to come together.
  • Turn the mixer to high speed or food processor on and process until the dough is no longer a ball but has begun to appear whipped.
  • Transfer the dough to an oiled container with a tight-fitting lid or a greased bowl, spray lightly with cooking oil spray, and cover tightly.
  • Place in a warm area to rise for one hour.
  • Lightly grease a 9”×9” pan and make your filling by combining all filling ingredients. It should be spreadable but not melted.
  • Roll the dough out and cut into 9 pieces. Then roll the dough one at a time into a long oval 8” long. Spread some of the filling on top then cut slits lengthwise but not all the way. Then grab both ends and twist. Form it into a knot. Place into the pan and repeat.
  • Cover and let rise for 30mins or until puffy. Preheat oven to 350F Lightly brush with an egg wash or melted butter before baking. Bake for 25-30mins or until the top is golden.
  • Brush with melted butter or leftover oil from roasted garlic.
