Garlic Herb Sandwich Bread

  • 3 cups Arrowhead Mills Unbleached Bread Flour
  • tsp instant yeast
  • tbsp sugar
  • tsp salt
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • ½ cup warm milk (non dairy milk works too)
  • 3 tbsp softened butter for loaf pan
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp melted butter (cooled)
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped herbs


  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Pour in lukewarm water and milk. Stir to combine until a sticky dough ball forms. Knead for 6-8 mins on a lightly floured surface. Place into the clean oiled bowl. Cover the bowl allow to rise for at least 2 hours.
  • Deflate the dough and lightly coat it in the oil. Transfer the dough to the butter greased pan. Cover and rise until the dough rise for 45 minutes. After 35 mins brush on minced garlic and melted cooled butter. Cover again for the final 15 mins.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 F. 
  • Remove cover. Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Once golden brown, remove onto a cooling rack. Brush on minced garlic, fresh herbs, and butter mixture. Cool for 30 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
